Providing proper nutritional requirements is critical to ensure the health and wellness for our residents. Ensuring each resident is receiving adequate nutrients and healthy food choices is very important to us. We purchase fresh, local foods as the seasons allow.
It’s also important that our food is delicious and prepared to the highest standards. We provide healthy salads, fresh fruits and vegetables and incredible hand-made desserts.
DAILY RECREATION AND EXERCISE
We strongly believe regular recreation and exercise provide many health benefits and improve the quality of life for our residents.
With daily recreation and exercise, our residents have seen improvements in balance, coordination, spacial awareness and cognitive function. Recreation takes place both in and out of the Ridgewood Assisted Living Facility.
The social interaction with other residents is paramount and we measure this daily with the Nxtgen. Each resident has a dynamic M Factor reflecting the meaningfulness of care they experience. For example, a lower M Factor suggest someone is at greater risk for loneliness, depression and anxiety. Aware of the trends, the resident/client, their family and friends are better equipped to take action.
